The Danelle Project
The Danelle Project is a community initiative aiming to preserve, support and develop the legacy of the iconic Danelle Plaza in Tempe AZ, a space where the history of urban transformation, artistic experiment and counterculture have been entangled for more than 60 years.
Root Films is involved with this grassroots initiative through a documentary project, event organizing and site-specific installation to highlight structural violence and the intersection of social and environmental justice in places from Arizona’s Sun Valley to Central Asia’s Aral Sea Basin.
