Luiza Parvu and Toma Peiu are invited to stage a new version of the installation Failure is Human at Resistence - Resilience - Adaptation: the 117th Annual Meeting of the American Anthropological Association in San Jose, California (November 14th -18th, 2018). The show will be open for visitation on Friday, November 16th, between 10:15am - 6pm, in the Fairmont Hotel’s Sacramento Room.
In its form at the AAA, the installation will be focusing on non-verbal communication, body language and political non-success. Visitors will be invited to experience the installation seated in front of a conference presentation screen, in the immersive space of a darkened hotel meeting room. Documentation may be viewed above.
Toma Peiu will also be available for the gallery presentation A question of water and salt: imaginaries of the Central Asian café in Brooklyn NY, as a part of a session on Technology, Infrastructure and Materiality, running in the Convention Center gallery space - on Saturday, November 17th, 3-5pm.
The AAA annual meeting is the world’s largest annual gathering of scholars and researchers of anthropology and connected fields.
